Do NOT form LLC in New York without reading this The New York publication requirement insists any newly formed New York LLC or corporation publish a copy of its Articles of Organization, or similar announcement, in two newspapers within a 120 day period following filing the formation documents. The newspapers will then issue an Affidavit of Publication which must be filed with the New York Department of State along with a Certification of Publication and a filing fee of $50.
